Pitch Count Rules
" Teams will follow Little League's pitch counts
for the selected age groups.
" Head Coaches will review the player pitch count record chart before
each game.
" Teams will use the Little League player pitch count record chart
from the blue book that was sent to each league.
" Teams must have at least two weeks of player history with them
for each game.
(Suggestion is to have a separate player pitch count record chart, for
each game. This will be easier to read the history.)
" The HEAD COACH will report the pitch count to the other head coach,
EVERY HALF INNING.
" Three signature needed by the two managers and the umpire, at the
conclusion of every game.
" UMPIRES are not responsible to maintain the teams pitch counts.
In the event of a forgotten, players pitch count record chart by the manager,
the upcoming game should still be played.
" The coach, whose player pitch record chart was missing, has until
the next game to get a signature from that opposing coach for validation
of the player pitching record for the previous game and the one just played.
It is that coach who was missing his players pitch record chart responsibility
to travel to the other coach.
" If this does not occur before the next game, that game just played
is considered a forfeit, no matter what the results were.
Other Rules
" In the case of a rainout, that game should be
schedule on the next available day that doesn't cause a conflict for that
week. If the weekday is not an option, then a Sunday game should be scheduled
for that weekend. No games should start before 1:00pm on Sundays.
" The ten run rule is followed. That game is considered over when
this occurs under the inning criteria. It is up to the Head Coaches to
if they want to continue for fun, the remaining innings. The umpire must
stay to continue the game and the pitchers and pitch counts will be recorded.
All other rules will be played by the 2008 Little League Green Book
